Why /futurs.org ?

The ’s’ in the domain name http://futurs.org refers to an article of Ilya Prigogine in Keys to the 21st Century where he points out the unpredictability of Nature and the question of probability about the future, which he calls Plurality of futures and the end of certainty (read a french extract here).

History

The domain name futurs.org was first dedicated to an event named ‘L’interface des Futurs’ held in the Futuroscope of Poitiers, France, in May 1998.

I happened to get closely involved in the making of the forum, both as Artistic and Internet Director. After the end of the forum, and since no follow-up was decided, I made the domain name my homepage.
